2017 CROZE Vintner Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford

Grapes for the 2017 Vintners Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon came from two distinct vineyards in Rutherford. The lots were fermented separately and the resulting blend combined. Combining grapes from two distinct vineyards In Rutherford, one located east along the Vaca Mountain range and one located west along the Mayacama Mountain range allows for a complete expression of the famous Rutherford AVA.

This wine reflects the depth and complexity of the combined Rutherford vineyards, enhanced by extended barrel aging. Production Notes

The grapes were hand-picked, crushed and fermented in small lots to preserve fruit character and prevent extraction of harsh tannins. October 06, 2017, the wine was moved to barrel using 1/2 new, 1/2 once filled French Oak barrels from the Nevers forest. The wine was racked twice yearly until bottling. After 24 months of oak aging, the wine was bottled. Since then it has rested in bottle, allowing the flavors to mature. A true reflection of the signature Rutherford dust, this 100% Cabernet embodies an old world style meets new world fruit.
