With summer in full swing, we are thrilled to officially release the 2017 Croze Chardonnay Napa Valley Chardonnay. This wine is pure, precise and wonderfully refined with notes of vibrant citrus, pear and red peach flavors, spicy, toasted oak while maintaining a bright acidity. Barrel aged for 8 months in 20% new French oak, our Croze Chardonnay embodies the balance of brilliant acidity and round, integrated oak that define Croze winemaker Daniel Benton's approach to chardonnay.

The Croze 2017 Chardonnay is barrel fermented using French Oak barrels from the Nevers Forrest in the center of France. After fermentation, we aged the wine for 8 months on the lees to create a full- bodied chardonnay with complexity and depth of flavor. There is no malolactic fermentation to protect the fruits natural acidity.

Croze winemaker Daniel Benton chose to slowly barrel ferment the grapes at cool temperatures to protect the excellent aromatics and fantastic acidity. There is no Malolatic fermintation in this Chardonnay. The 2017 Croze Chardonnay is a stunner of a wine!
