The 2008 CROZE Sauvignon Blanc is light, crisp and well balanced. This wine reflects the vineyard’s low yield of intense, varietally correct fruit. Its bouquet reveals fresh aromas of lime and mineral. As the wine opens in the glass, layering flavors of citrus oil and honeydew emerge. The finish is agreeably long and full and its white gold hue glows in the glass. 2008 CROZE Sauvignon Blanc pairs well with salads, poultry, fish and lighter pasta dishes. It always compliments a friend!
Monte Lago Vineyards are located in the Northern hills overlooking Clearlake, in Lake County, CA. Hot days, cool nights and perfect soil produce a low yield and intensely varietal fruit.
The grapes were hand-picked crushed and fermented in small lots to preserve the fruit's varietal character and avoid extraction of harsh tannins. A long, cool fermentation in a sstainless steel tank further preserved the fresh aromas and flavors.
Our premier CROZE Sauvignon Blanc is an elegant wine with true California style.
